Anonymous poll and secret ballot
Voters are never asked for a name, nothing is stored on a server, and in the room you can run a true secret ballot on one device. Built for honest answers about workload, feedback and group decisions.
How anonymous is it, exactly?
With “Anonymous” ticked (it is on by default here), the vote page never shows a name field. What reaches you depends on how votes are collected:
- Pass the device: the most anonymous option. Votes are recorded on your device with no identifier at all, and the “next voter” screen hides each answer. Only the order of voting could give someone away, so hide results until everyone has voted.
- Reply links: the reply contains the answer and a random id, not a name. But you receive it through some channel (a chat message, an email), and that channel shows who sent it. It is anonymous to the software, not to you. Tell voters this honestly, or use a shared inbox or a trusted collector.
- Show of hands: not anonymous at all, by definition.
PollCraft itself never sees any of this. There is no account and no server database, so there’s nothing for us to leak or hand over.

- Classroom understanding checks, where nobody wants to be the only one who is lost.

Questions people ask
Can the poll creator see who voted?
Not from the vote itself: anonymous polls don’t ask for names and replies carry only a random id. If voters send replies by chat or email, the host can see who sent the message, so use pass-the-device when full anonymity matters.
Is anonymous voting secure enough for elections?
No. PollCraft is for group opinion and informal decisions. Formal elections need verified voter lists and audited counting, which a no-account tool can’t provide.
Does PollCraft store IP addresses?
No. Votes never reach our servers. The only server call is the optional AI wording helper, which receives just the text you ask it to check.
